Recognizing that high-schoolers like to get together, Markham Woods Church provides two major activities per month for this age group.

Usually, the first Saturday night of each month Pastor Descalso and his team of volunteers provide a social for high-schoolers. The Friday before the third Sabbath of the month they usually provide a vesper program that has both a spiritual and social component.

All high-schoolers are encouraged to join the fun and fellowship of both the social and vesper activities. The Youth Activities Hotline always carries details of the time and place of activities (phone 407-865-9773).

Grades 7-8 Have Socials and Vespers Monthly

Kids in Grades 7 and 8 are usually looking for action÷and what better place to find it than at a church-sponsored activity.

To meet this need, Markham Woods Church usually provides a vesper service, called "Friday Night Live" (FNL), on the Friday night before the fourth Sabbath of the month, and a social program on the second Saturday night on the months when no Pathfinder campout is scheduled.

Through to the end of 2003, socials will be held on: May 10, June 14, July 12; August 3 (a Sunday trip to the beach--10:00 am to 4:00 pm) and December 13.

Dates for FNL programs through to the end of 2003 are: April 25; May 23; June 27; July 25; August 22; September 26; October 24; and November 21.
